Nunavut faces lockdown

The situation in the Canadian territory of Nunavut is escalating: COVID cases have now risen to 26, as reported by nunatsiaq News. The government in Iqaluit has now pulled the emergency brake and announced a complete lockdown of the entire territory from tomorrow. In Arviat, another 6 cases have been added since Monday and in Rankin Inlet another 2. This means that 20 cases are known in Arviat, 4 in Rankin Inlet and 2 cases in Sanikiluaq. Chief Public Health Officer Dr. Michael Patterson has announced that the restrictions from Wednesday on will be similar to those in March.
